Gem, jewellery and mineral shows are a fantastic way to gain an appreciation of the incredible richness and diversity of not only gemstones, but fossils, beading, jewellery, lapidary and of course mineral specimens.

These shows are notoriously cheap when compared to the commercial environment and a good deal of money can be saved by attending and doing your shopping at gem shows.  You will find that members of the lapidary community are a friendly bunch who love a chat and who take immense pride in providing an honest and ethical service to the public.

In the majority of cases the gem shows are hosted by local lapidary clubs and this is their primary fundraiser and membership drive for the year.  Excellent home cooked food is usually available at a cheap price and the mood of the shows is always positive and vibrant.

Beaut Gems attends many of the Queensland and Northern New South Wales Gem and Jewellery Fairs.
